What are you doing to cope with Covid-19?

My husband and I both caught this virus. We were down for a month. We felt really bad – achy all over and very fatigued.

Luckily it did not go into our lungs. At least not in the debilitating way that required the emergency room.

We happened to have some extensive blood tests drawn the very day we started showing symptoms.

Our blood work showed red cell anemia,  low blood oxygen and low white count. Our physician thought this was unusual and contributed it to the Corona virus.

From everything I’ve read, I came to the conclusion that having a dairy free diet greatly contributed to the “mildness” of our virus.

We also have a low level of protein as it is plant based. A high level of animal protein weakens the immunity. A level of protein lower than 20% in a plant based diet does not contribute to a number of diseases where a diet of animal protein over 5% starts triggering diseases and pretty much guarantees them when animal protein exceeds 20% of the diet. (Ref: China Study). See a video from Colin T. Campbell here!

The other thing we were doing was drinking water every 15 to 20 minutes. Staying hydrated was key.

We have been reading Anthony William and his detox program to kill virus pathogens in the body involve the elimination of corn, wheat, gluten, soy, eggs, dairy, processed oil and animal fats. Well, we do that on a regular basis. When we go on his detox diets (Cleanse to Heal), we change to more of a raw vegetable diet, limit plant (radical) fats, incorporate celery juice, sea vegetables, drink lemon water and celery juice and eat a lot of apples. It isn’t that big of a change from our regular diet.

We can’t eat beans of his detox (too difficult to digest). So our breaks between detoxes involve eating beans! I never thought I would miss them that much! Brussel sprout chili just doesn’t do it for me.

Another conclusion I came to was if other viruses stay in your system and cause health problems, what is Covid-19 going to do?

It is obviously going to stick around, but what damage will it do while “dormant”?

My husband and I do not feel we are back where we were before the virus. Both of us experience a general weakness, fatigue, sleep issues, muscle aches, and skin eruptions that weren’t there before. Harry has been battling issues with his eyes that started at the height of the virus and remain even though it’s been a month since we had the virus.

We have done the 3-6-9 detox from Cleanse to Heal once since Covid-19 and started feeling better on day 10. (We repeated days 8, 7 and 6 making it a 12 day cleanse).  We are doing the 3-6-9 again after the 3 day Memorial Day holiday and intend to repeat the detox until we get our health back.

My recommendations to curtail or lessen the flu:
  1. Eliminate foods that feed viruses when you start to feel bad.
  2. Protect yourself and practice social distancing.
  3. Eat as cleanly as possible. Raw or steamed food is easier to digest.
  4. Avoid toxins.
  5. Use glass or steel in the kitchen and throw out the foil and plastic!
  6. Hydrate frequently! Incorporate lemon water, celery juice, and  coconut water into your diet.
  7. Enjoy hibiscus tea, lemon balm tea or Chaga tea on a daily basis.
  8. Take it easy – don’t over exert yourself when you feel illness coming on.
  9. Avoid alcohol, caffeine and stimulants.
  10. Try going plant based until you feel better.
