The China Study is about the findings from a 20 year study of the eating habits of people in China by region. From this study, they noted different diseases that developed, longevity and health differences connected to the regional foods.
The book is very technical but ground breaking in that it was the first study of it’s kind. It proves that food is directly related to health which should be a no brainer but still an elusive concept to the medical industry.
The doctors went on to create Forks Over Knives. The entire family is involved with cook books, cooking programs and meal plans.
In a way, this is the book that started it all. It is an invaluable reference book and will arm you with information that will help with your transition!
