This appetizer (or hors d'oeuvre) can be put together quickly and easily using a jar of artichokes, marinara sauce and panko bread crumbs. The time it takes to bake depends on whether you use an air fryer, convection oven or broiler. It is similar to mozzarella sticks in consistency.

Instructions
Open artichokes. Drain and place in water (to rinse off brine).
Grind the flax seed and mix with 3 TBSP each lemon juice and water. Add herb de province, garlic and chili flakes. Set aside.
Sprinkle panko onto a pie plate or shallow dish.
Add the almonds and a little water to your flax seed mix to make it more like a pancake batter consistency.
Drain and dry an artichoke by pressing in between paper towels or tea towel. Smash the artichoke quarter slightly, and dip one side into the flax mixture to cover. (It may not stick well, use a fork to apply the flax mixture). Place into the panko and roll t cover the artichoke as well as possible. Place artichoke on a baking pan with a rack. Repeat until your artichokes are breaded. Sprinkle a little salt over the final product and pepper if you wish.
Bake at 400 ° F for 7 minutes in an air fryer or until golden brown. Bake at 400 ° F for 30 minutes or until golden brown in a convection oven. If using a regular oven, turn artichokes halfway through.
Warm store bought marinara in a saucepan and serve with the artichokes for dipping.
Notes
This is a Snap Pea Sheep recipe.Baking time varies depending on how the artichokes are baked. Timeing can vary between 7 minutes in an air-fryer to 40 minutes in a standard oven. * Luciana Spicy Tuscan Sauce' was organic and compliant at one time. They took it off the shelves then it reappeared without the organic label and with added oil. I make my own sauce most of the time but this is a sauce I will use to save time.It is basically a marinara sauce spiced up with extra red pepper flakes, garlic and oregano. You can use Follow Your Heart Parmesan cheese sprinkles if desired. I use Ian organic, gluten free panko bread crumbs. Toast and enjoy!
